Feb. 7, 2006--The editors of TechTarget's Storage magazine and SearchStorage.com published their annual "Products of the Year" Awards today. The Awards span five product categories, naming 15 new products enterprise storage professionals should consider adding to their "A" list of products to evaluate when addressing data storage challenges.
The products were judged by the editors in conjunction with a team of data storage-focused enterprise IT professionals and industry experts. In order to qualify for consideration, products must have been shipped between October 26, 2004 and October 1, 2005. The panel of judges selected a Gold, Silver and Bronze award winner in each category. Products were evaluated based on six criteria:
- innovation
- performance
- ease of integration into existing environments
- ease of use and manageability
- functionality
- value
