In April 2003, Scopus and Pixelmetrix (Singapore) announced they are cooperating to develop next generation Broadcast Management Technology. This project is supported by the Singapore Israel Industrial R&D Foundation (SIIRD). “Scopus’ Singapore HUB office underlines our commitment to become the leading digital broadcasting solution provider for the entire region,” commented Tamir Galili, Scopus VP of Sales. “With the Asia Pacific region leading the world in digital interactive multi-media applications, we look forward to providing broadcast platforms like our new Intelligent Video Networks (IVN) to leading broadcast players in the region. Scopus believes that the growth of DTH actitivities and interest in this areas will help to shape the potential for Scopus in Asia Pacific”.

Yoram Oron, CEO Vertex Venture Capital Israel said: "The pay-per-view digital TV market is one of the most successful and profitable at present. It is experiencing rapid development with penetration rates for digital transmission rising consistently. We expect to see digital TV technology rapidly adopted throughout Asia Pacific and the opening of a Scopus office in Singapore will enable the company to serve this growing demand accordingly."

“It is exciting to see the fruition of our efforts to draw venture capital activities here to Singapore such as this. Scopus was an investment made by one of TIF’s portfolio funds, Vertex Israel.
