SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. and BEDFORD, Mass. - September 8, 2003 - Voltaire, a leading provider of high performance InfiniBand solutions, today announced a high performance, standards-based, scalable InfiniBand solution for Oracle® Database 10g, the first database designed for emerging enterprise grid computing. Voltaire participated in the Oracle Database 10g Beta Program and thoroughly tested an early release of Oracle Database 10g with their InfiniBand solution. Voltaire benefited from the high-performance features, and utilized training, marketing and development resources as a first step to build solutions on Oracle's next-generation database technology. Voltaire will demonstrate the joint Voltaire and Oracle solution at OracleWorld at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, September 8 - 11, 2003 in Booth #506.

Oracle Database 10g is the first database designed for emerging enterprise grid computing, the most cost-effective and flexible way to manage enterprise information. In addition, it allows for superior application performance with particular emphasis on efficient management and ease-of-use. Oracle Database 10g can improve network performance significantly by taking advantage of Voltaire's InfiniBand solution, which provides a high-performing, standards-based interconnect solution consisting of both software and hardware.
